Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home (A.P.) appearing for the respondents. 2.

When the matter is taken up, written instructions, dated 12.3.2018, furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police & Investigating Officer, Arundelpet Police Station, Guntur District are placed on record by the learned Government Pleader for Home. The said instructions to the extent of their relevance to the present writ petition read as under:- "It is submitted that basing on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.232/14, dt.03.04.2014, u/s.463, 467, 468, 471 IPC was registered on the file of the 3rd respondent police station against one P.D.Prasad & 6 others and investigation was taken up by the then Sub-Inspector of Police, Arundelpet P.S, and presently I am conducting investigation in the above case since 26.02.2018. In the above case, so far (4) witnesses were examined and their statements were recorded.

It is submitted that I will expedite the investigation and complete the same as expeditiously as possible."

Having regard to the above said instructions and taking into consideration the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, by placing on record the written instructions, dated 12.3.2018, furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police & Investigating Officer, Arundelpet Police Station, Guntur District with a further

direction to the respondent police authorities to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
