THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.8000 of 2018 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed complaining that the power supply to the petitioner's Service Connection No.1012500265 has been disconnected without issuing any notice as contemplated under the Indian Electricity Act (in short "the Act").

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. On instructions, learned Standing Counsel for the Cooperative Electric Supply Society Ltd., submits that a sum of Rs.89,031/- is payable by the petitioners, and they cannot expect the power supply uninterruptedly without payment of the said due. Considering the respective submissions and also considering the fact that the power connection to the petitioners' Service Connection No.1012500265 has been disconnected without issuing any notice, as mandated under the Act, subject to the condition of the petitioners depositing 1/4th of the said due amount, the power connection shall be restored. The petitioners also undertake to pay the balance amount in three installments, one month apart, subject to the usual terms. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
