Zulekha Begum v. The State Of Telangana,
HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT W.P.No.26847 OF 2015 PC: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) The petitioner in the instant Habeas Corpus writ petition seeks production of her husband Abdul Gaffar Qureshi, alleging that he is illegally detained by respondent No.2.
Mr.S.Sharat Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader, on the other hand, informs the Court that Abdul Gaffar Qureshi came to be arrested even before filing of writ petition i.e., 21.08.2015 in connection with Cr.No.42 of 2015 registered at Veldanda Police Station, Mahabubnagar District and presently he is in judicial custody. He further submits that immediately after his arrest, the concerned police station informed about his arrest to one of his close relatives Saleem. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner denies that either the petitioner or any other relative of Abdul Gaffar Qureshi was informed, as alleged. We do not wish to enter into that controversy.
This Habeas Corpus petition, in view of the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, in our opinion, does not survive and is accordingly disposed of.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, also stand disposed of.
