THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO Crl.M.P.No.17526 of 2014 in Crl.P.No.16300 of 2014 and Crl.P.No.16300 of 2014 COMMON ORDER:
The de-facto complainant and his counsel Sri Govind Reddy Kontham are present. Accused and their counsel Sri K.Surender are present.
Heard both sides and perused the petition.
The de-facto complainant lodged FIR No.1018 of 2014 against the accused for the offence under Section 384 IPC and investigation is stated to be pending. It is submitted by both the parties that at the intervention of elders, parties have settled the matter in respect of offence under Section 384 IPC in FIR No.1018 of 2014 on the file of PS Jeedimetla, Cyberabad and entered into a compromise and hence compromise may be recorded and criminal proceedings in FIR No.1018 of 2014 on the file of PS Jeedimetla, Cyberabad, Medak District may be quashed in the interest of justice.
Having regard to the above submission and considering the fact that it is a matrimonial matter and parties have amicably settled the disputes among themselves, and no purpose will be served even if the parties are driven to trial and following the decision in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab and another[1] this criminal miscellaneous petition is allowed and
compromise is recorded and consequently, proceedings in FIR No.1018 of 2014 on the file of PS Jeedimetla, Cyberabad, Medak District are quashed.
In the result, both the Petitions are accordingly disposed of.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
