This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
"To issue a Writ, order or direction more in the of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in regularizing the services of the petitioners with prospective effect from the date of issuance of G.O.Ms.No. 138, Housing dated 8-5-2006 instead of from the date of their original appointment or atleast from the date on which they were completed five years of service in terms of orders issued by Government in G.O.Ms.No. 182, Housing, dated 13-11-1991 readwith the orders issued by the 2nd respondent in Circular No. 1218/A2/1991, dated 1-11992 is as illegal and consequently hold that the petitioners are entitled for regularization of their services with effect from the date on which they were originally appointed as Work Inspectors (Tech) or from the date on which they completed five years of service in the said post with all consequential benefits."

Today, when the matter is called, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the issue in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.13953 of 2008, dated 21.09.2017 and a copy of the same is placed on record by the learned counsel. The operative portion of the said order reads as under:

Following the said order in W.P.No.13953 of 2008, dated 21.09.2017 and for the reasons recorded therein, the writ petition is allowed, directing the respondents to regularize the services of the writ petitioners from the date of their completing five years continuous service and fulfill all the requirements as laid down in the Government orders. There shall be no order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
