THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.5397 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents 2 to 8 in coercing and harassing the petitioners to pay the amounts or to give post dated cheques or blank promissory notes in favour of the unofficial respondents for payment of the alleged dues payable to them with regard to the chit amount.

A counter affidavit is filed by the fifth respondent stating that the ninth respondent lodged a compliant with the Commissioner of Police, Warangal, alleging that the petitioners are not paying the amount. The representation given to the Commissioner of Police was forwarded to the Station House Officer concerned on 07.01.2017 for enquiry and necessary action. A preliminary enquiry was conducted and except conducting a preliminary enquiry, the petitioners were not harassed. It is further stated that the petitioners were never pressurized to give post dated chques or execute blank promissory notes, and that the investigation revealed that the matter is civil in nature.

In view of the statement made by the fifth respondent, no further orders are necessary in the writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly closed.
