THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 1181 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the registration of Crime No.224 of 2016 by respondent No.3-Station House Officer, Srungavarapukota Police Station, Vizianagaram. The complaint relates to a chit business and inviting deposits from public. The crime was registered under Sections 420 and 421 IPC read with Sections 120-B and 34 I.P.C.

This Court, by order, dated 06.01.2017, directed respondent No.3 to proceed with the investigation, but shall not arrest the petitioners. The said order has been in operation till today. In the counter-affidavit filed by respondent No.3 in the month of February, 2017, it is stated that the investigation is not yet completed as the Police have to examine some more witnesses. It is also stated that after completion of the investigation, charge sheet will be filed.

In view of the above, respondent No.3 is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In view of the order, dated 06.01.2017, passed by this Court, the petitioners shall not be arrested till filing of the charge sheet/final report. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
