HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No.25438 OF 2009 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent No.3 passing the impugned two proceedings vide Memos No. L & O/A-2/89/2008-09, dated 19.11.2009, in rejecting the applications of the petitioners for license and not permitting to conduct live band/orchestra with male and female singers as arbitrary and illegal and violative of principles of natural justice and directing the respondents to permit them for conducting the live band/orchestra music programmes with male and female singers in accordance with law and following the judgment of the Apex Court in Civil Appeal No.1857 of 2000 and batch, dated 28.11.2002.

Having regard to the fact that the writ petition is an old matter of the year 2009, this Court on 21.08.2018, directed the petitioner to ascertain whether cause in the writ petition still survives to pass any order on merits. Today when the matter came up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. In that view, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
