THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM CONTEMPT CASE No. 2092 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This Contempt Case is filed for the willful disobedience of the respondent in complying with the order dated 26.07.2017 in Writ Petition No. 18538 of 2006.

Vide order afore-stated, this Court directed the Land Acquisition Officer to pass a supplementary award for a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- with other consequential benefits, in 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order. Learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition has placed on record the communication received from the Revenue Divisional Officer, Jangareddygudem through letter dated 16.10.2018, stating that pursuant to the order of this Court, a supplementary award was passed for a sum of Rs.10,89,474/- and the same was submitted to the Collector, West Godavari District at Eluru to release sufficient funds for making payment thereof, vide proceedings dated 19.07.2018. It is further stated that the Collector has approved the said Award and issued proceedings, dated 18.09.2018 directing drawl and deposit of the said amount in A/c No.

30892954843 of Revenue Divisional Officer, Jangareddygudem, and subsequently, the amount was paid to the petitioner vide cheque dated 06.11.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the same.

In the light of the subsequent developments, inasmuch as the order complained of has been complied with, nothing survives in this Contempt Case and the same is accordingly, closed. The miscellaneous Applications, if any shall also stand closed.
