This criminal petition is filed for quash of the proceedings in CC.No.1455 of 2011, against the petitioner, on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Karimnagar. The offences alleged are under Sections 498A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The learned Public Prosecutor produced a letter addressed by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Women Police Station, Karimnagar dated 07.09.2018 stating that the case has been compromised before Lok Adalat on 10.02.2018.

In the light of the above, this Court opines that continuation of further proceedings against the petitioner would only result in abuse of process of law The criminal petition is allowed and the proceedings in CC.No.1455 of 2011, against the petitioner, on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Karimnagar, are hereby quashed.
