Ramasubramanian) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and include his name in the first phase of counselling for admission into the PG-MD/ MS course under NRI/ Sub-Category - 2 and Institutional Preference Quota Category - 3 for the academic year 2019-20. 2.

On 01.05.2019, when the writ petition came up for orders as to admission, this Court passed the following interim order. "Mr. A. Prabhakar Rao, learned counsel, takes notice. The petitioner shall approach the University either on 02.05.2019 or on 03.05.2019, seeking permission to apply at least in the mop-up counseling for category - 2.

The University may consider it and take appropriate decision." 3.

The interim order was given effect to. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication any more in this writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. If the petitioner has secured admission pursuant to the interim order, the said admission is protected. If the petitioner could not secure admission, even under the category for which he sought admission, no further orders can be passed, as last date for admission is already over. Consequently, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
