ORDER

This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. by the peitioner/A1 to quash the proceedings in Crime No.705 of 2017 of Medipally Police Station, Rachakonda District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Public Prosecutor representing the State and perused the record.

3. The petitioner/A1 and other accused are alleged to have committed the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there may be a direction to the police concerned to follow the directions given by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma and others V The State of Uttar Pradesh and another1.

5. Learned Public Prosecutor also conceded that the police are required to follow the directions given by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma's case, referred to supra.

In the circumstances, the Station House Officer, Medipally Police Station, Rachakonda District, is directed to follow the directions issued by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma's case, referred to supra, scrupulously, by referring the matter to the Committee to be constituted for report to consider any reconciliation 1 2017(2) ALT Crl. 393 (SC)

Dr. SA, J Crl.P.No.9112 of 2017 and settlement and if it is not settled, then to proceed with the investigation.

7. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
