Ramasubramanian) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioner for counselling and admission into MDS course under NRI/ Sub-Category '2' and under the management quota for the academic year 2019-20, as illegal and arbitrary. 2.

On 01.05.2019, when the writ petition came up for orders as to admission, this Court passed the following interim order. "Mr. A. Prabhakar Rao, learned counsel, takes notice for the respondents.

The petitioner shall approach the University either on 02.05.2019 or on 03.05.2019, seeking permission to apply into MDS Course under the NRI/ Sub-Category '2' quota. The University may take a decision immediately, so that if there are any chances and if there are seats available, the case may be considered in the next round of counseling." 3.

The interim order was given effect to. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication any more in this writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. If the petitioner has secured admission pursuant to the interim order, the said admission is protected. If the petitioner could not secure admission, even under the category for which he sought admission, no further orders can be passed, as last date for admission is already over. Consequently, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
