HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.25152 of 2006 ORDER:
This writ petition was filed challenging the endorsement of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kovvur, 2nd respondent, dated 19.06.2006 rejecting the objections filed by the petitioner, as without jurisdiction.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer has no jurisdiction to reject the objections and it is the District Collector who alone can dispose of the objections filed by the petitioner and in support of the said contention, he relied on a decision of this Court in P.V.S.A.V.D.S.Subrahmanya Varma v. Secretary to Government of A.P., Revenue Department, Hyderabad1. 3.
No counter-affidavit is filed by the respondents. 4.
In view of the aforesaid decision of this Court, the 2nd respondent has no jurisdiction to entertain and reject the objections filed by the petitioner. Accordingly, the impugned endorsement dated 19.06.2006 is set aside.

During the pendency of the present writ petition, the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30 of 2013) came into force with effect from 01.01.2014. In view of the same, if the respondents want any part of the land of the petitioner, 1 2010 (6) ALD 727
they have to initiate fresh proceedings under the provisions of the said Act 30 of 2013.
