The petitioners complain of inaction on the part of the revenue authorities upon their application dated 21.07.2014 whereby they sought assignment of land in Sy.Nos.776 and 848/2 of Kakulavarigudem Revenue Village, Buttaigudem Mandal, West Godavari District.

The petitioners claim that the Tahsildar, Buttaigudem Mandal, informed them that he was forwarding their application to the higher authorities and was awaiting their approval. In that view of the matter, it is for the State authorities to take a decision upon the request made by the

petitioners for assignment of the land in their favour and pass appropriate orders thereon.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' application dated 21.07.2014 in accordance with law and pass reasoned orders thereon within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
