HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. AMARNATH GOUD WRIT PETITION No.10026 of 2019 ORDER :

Jama Masjid and Old Graveyard, #'A', Battery Lane, Near ITI Mallepally, Hyderabad, is a Notified Waqf Institution. The previous Managing Committee of the said Institution appointed by the Waqf Board came to be dissolved on some allegations. However, as the holy month of Ramzan is ahead, in order to conduct prayers and Taraveeh Namaz, the petitioner, claiming himself to be the President of the Managing Committee of Jama Masjid and Old Graveyard, along with others has formed into a Group and approached respondent No.2 with a representation dt.24.04.2019 requesting to recognise and appoint them as Adhoc Managing Committee to manage the affairs of the said Waqf Institution. As no action has been taken by respondent No.2 on the said representation till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri M.A. Mujeeb, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2 - Telangana State Waqf Board.

Learned counsel for the petitioner expresses his concern that in view of Holy month Ramzan, which is likely to be commenced from 04.05.2019 onwards, there is every urgency to act upon the aforesaid representation and pass appropriate orders by respondent No.2.

TA, J W.P.No.10026 of 2019 Having heard learned counsel for the respective parties, this Court is of the considered view that without going into the merits of the case, it is just and proper to dispose of the writ petition with the consent of learned counsel for the respective parties, directing respondent No.2 to consider the representation dt.24.04.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one week from today.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
