HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.8203 OF 2018 O R D E R :

The case of the petitioner is that the 2nd respondent issued show cause notice dated 14.12.2017 to the petitioner asking him to submit explanation within seven days as to why his arms licence No.90/Chatrinaka should not be cancelled under Section 17 of Arms Act, 1959 for his involvement in a criminal case and also suspended the arms licence of the petitioner directing the petitioner to surrender the weapon. In pursuance of the said show cause notice, the petitioner submitted detailed explanation dated 18.12.2017 which was received by the 2nd respondent on 22.12.2017. As no orders are passed on the same, present writ petition is filed.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced copy of proceedings dated 06.12.2017 issued by the 2nd respondent suspending the arms licence of the petitioner and the said proceedings was dispatched on 11.12.2017. Since the petitioner has submitted explanation dated 18.12.2017 in pursuance to the show cause notice, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the explanation of the petitioner and pass final orders, in accordance with law

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
