HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.23914 of 2003 ORDER:

When this matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner in spite of the fact that this writ petition is listed under the caption of 'for dismissal'.

The petitioner filed this writ petition challenging the order passed by the 1st respondent-authority under payment of Wages Act in P.W.Case No.16/1996, dated 10.9.2003, wherein the petitioner was directed to pay Rs.7,01,760-00 to the claimant. While admitting this writ petition, this Court granted interim stay subject to the condition of the petitioner depositing half of the amount awarded by the 1st respondent, within four weeks.

The petitioner could not point out any illegality or irregularity in the order passed by the 1st respondent-authority. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order impugned.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
