This writ petition is filed seeking the following prayer: "to issue a writ or order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent is not following the law laid down by the Apex Court and the Central Government instructions issued on 18.5.1998 and not allowing the petitioners to interview for the posts of Engineering Assistant Trainees and to fill up these posts through employment exchange alone as illegal, arbitrary unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondent to allow the petitioners to appear to interview for the posts of Engineering Assistant Trainees and consider to appoint the petitioners without insisting that the petitioners name should be sponsored by the employment exchange and pass such further orders, as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit...."

This Court, on 25.10.2002, while admitting the writ petition, granted interim direction, directing the respondents to allow the petitioners to appear for interview, for the post of 'Engineering Assistant Trainees' without insisting for employment exchange.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the aforesaid interim order passed by this Court. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J Date: 10-09-2015 pab
