When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, none appeared for petitioners inspite of the case being listed under the caption "for dismissal".

A perusal of the record discloses that the petitioners are seeking a direction to extend the benefit of automatic advancement scheme to them. Earlier, this Court granted interim directions on 12.11.2003, directing the respondents to extend the automatic advancement scheme to the petitioners as per the A.P. Aided Institutions Act of 2000, as amended vide Act No.5 of 2003. This Court, having considered the merits of the case, is of the considered view that in view of the interim orders granted earlier, no further orders are needed to be passed in this writ petition. 3.
