This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the following relief:

"To issue a Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of A WRIT OF MANDAMUS, declaring the action of the 2nd Respondent herein in interfering and causing obstruction to conduct "Jaathara" of Deity Sri Nala Veera Ganga Bhavani Goddess by the Petitioner / Trust as illegal, arbitrary, without jurisdiction and unconstitutional and consequently direct the 2nd Respondent herein not to interfere and causing obstruction to conduct "Jaathara" of Deity Sri Nala Veera Ganga Bhavani Goddess by the Petitioner / Trust which is scheduled to performed from 10.02.2017 to 14.02.2017."

When the matter is called, it is reported by the learned Standing Counsel for the Gram Panchayat Sri G.Seshadri, that the respondent Gram Panchayat is not interfering with the Jaathara being under taken by the petitioners.
