WRIT PETITION No. 8367 of 2018 ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue. With consent of counsel on either side, writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission. 2.

Father of petitioner filed a claim petition for grant of ryotwari patta under Section 11(a) of A.P. (A.A) Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1948 (for short the Act) before the Settlement Officer, Visakapatnam in relation to land to an extent of Ac.0.69 cents in R.S. No. 37/2, Kapuluppada village, Bheemunipatnam mandal, Visakapatnam. The said request was rejected by order dated 16.6.2012. Aggrieved thereby petitioner preferred revision under Section 5 (2) of the Act. The said revision is pending consideration. Last notice issued was on 4.12.2014 to hold enquiry on 27.12.2014 and thereafter there is no progress. This writ petition is filed alleging inaction in passing orders in RP No.20/2012/A dated 4.12.2014 pending before second respondent. 3.

Having regard to facts noted above, without expression any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to dispose of the revision, if pending before him, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to respective parties.
