Heard counsel for the petitioner, the Government Pleader for Municipal Administration appearing for 1st respondent and Sri Chatla Madhu, Standing Counsel appearing for 2nd respondent.

2. Petitioner's grievance is that petitioner's application for building permission made on 20.1.2016 to the 2nd respondent has not been disposed of by the 2nd respondent.

3. The Standing Counsel for 2nd respondent states that the 2nd respondent will take a decision on the petitioner's application within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed directing the 2nd respondent to take a decision on the petitioner's application within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner. The 2nd respondent shall also personally pay costs of Rs.2,000/- to the petitioner, since the petitioner's application has been kept pending for seven months without any valid reason.

5. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
