Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

The petitioners state that they are all Village Revenue Assistants and now their service conditions are regulated by the Andhra Pradesh Village Revenue Assistants Service Rules, 2005. It is their grievance that even after framing the above rules, the Votabandhi system is being implemented causing disturbance and developing enmity among their family members. Though, they submitted a representation on 31.07.2017 to the respondents 3 and 4, when no action was taken, the present Writ Petition was filed.

This Court, by order dated 22.09.2017, directed the consideration of representation of the petitioners dated 31.07.2017. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader produced before this Court a copy of the order dated 15.09.2017 passed by the fourth respondent stating that the Chief Commissioner, Land Administration, Hyderabad, had already issued proceedings No.1849 dated 28.10.2005 stating that in view of implementation of Village Revenue Assistants Service Rules, 2005 the Votabandhi system was abolished. The District Collector, Mahabubnagar District had also issued a circular on 05.08.2017 to publish the said proceedings for the information of all.

In view of the said circular of the fourth respondent, the Tahsildar, Gandeed Mandal, Mahabubnagar District and in view of the order of the Chief Commissioner, Land Administration, Hyderabad, the Writ Petition is closed by recording their circulars. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
