THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.41164 of 2016 ORDER:

In this writ petition, the petitioner is questioning the action of the 2nd respondent in not renewing the passport of the petitioner bearing No.E5930572 as arbitrary and illegal and consequently, to direct the 2nd respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner confined his arguments to the extent of giving a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation filed by the petitioner dated 29.08.2016 for renewing his passport. Considering the grievance of the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2016 for renewal of his passport and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
