Ramasubramanian) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and include his name in the next round of counselling for admission into the PG Medical Courses under Management Quota - 2 and 3 for the academic year 2019-20.

On 18.05.2019, when the writ petition came up for orders as to admission, this Court passed the following interim order. "Issue notice to respondent No.2 returnable in four weeks. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that this matter is adjourned to 22.05.2019. The request of learned counsel for advancing the matter to this day is accepted. The learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that 21.05.2019 is the date fixed for counselling. He further submits that in similar circumstances, this Court granted interim orders in W.P.Nos.10234 & 10144 of 2019 and the same is followed in several other matters. The same is not disputed by Mr.A.Prabhakar Rao, learned standing counsel for the University.
In view of the same and for the reasons alike, there shall be interim direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner for admission in final round of counseling i.e., mop-up counseling in accordance with law, provided the petitioner is eligible and approaches the University by 02.00 pm on 20.05.2019.
It is also stated that several such persons are also there who have not applied. In view of the same, this facility may also be extended to those who have not approached the Court, provided they are eligible.
The University shall upload this order on the website for enabling the similarly situated persons to approach the University on or before 02.00 pm on 20.05.2019." 3.
The interim order was given effect to. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication any more in this writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. If the petitioner has secured admission pursuant to the interim order, the said admission is protected. If the petitioner could not secure admission, even under the category for which he sought admission, no further orders can be passed, as last date for admission is already over. Consequently, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
