THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.8893 of 2012 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners is with regard to the alleged illegal mining of sand by the 7th respondent herein in Survey Nos.316 and 320 of Pallagiri Village, Nandigama Taluq, Krishna District. By interim order dated 30.03.2012, this Court directed the Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Nandigama to take necessary preventive action in accordance with law to ensure that no excavation or transportation of sand takes place from any area beyond the leased area by the 7th respondent. It is noticed that going by the petitioners' own averments in para 3 of the writ affidavit, the lease in favour of the 7th respondent was only for two years and the lease period would have expired by this time. The writ petition has therefore become infructuous owing to efflux of time. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
