This writ petition is filed challenging the impugned order in No.HN/A2/Arms/5649/2018-19, dated 17-04-2019, wherein and whereby the petitioner's application for renewal of his arms licence No.63/Lallaguda has been rejected and cancelled his arms licence. Learned counsel for the petitioner says that application for renewal of arms licence of petitioner was rejected vide impugned order only on the ground that the petitioner does not have any specific threat perception to his life and there is no history of any threat to the licensee. He also submits that application of the petitioner for arms licence was rejected not as per parameters contained in Section 14 (1) (b) of Arms Act. In support of his contention, learned counsel relied on the judgments of Syed Afzal Mehdi v. State of A.P. rep., by its Principal Secretary (Home), Hyderabad1, Chandran Nair v.Additional District Magistrate2 and T.K.Haridasan v. The District Collector (WP (C) No.25573 of 2018).
Counter affidavit is filed reiterating the grounds mentioned in the impugned order.
This Court has also considered the similar issue in WP.No.2673 of 2019 by its order, dated 11-06-2019 and set aside the rejection order which was passed only on the ground that the applicant does not have specific threat perception and directed the respondents therein to reconsider the issue in terms of the provisions of the Act.

In view of the same, the impugned order is set aside. The competent authority is directed to reconsider the application of the petitioner in terms of order in WP.No.2673 of 2019, dated 11-062019. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed to the extent indicated above. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
