THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.8863 of 2018 ORDER:

This writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioners stating that the subject case in Crime No.736 of 2017 was registered on 12.12.2017 by the Station House Officer, Raidurgam Police Station, Raidurgam, Gachibowli, Cyberabad, on reference of a private complaint by the Court of the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Rajendranagar, Cyberabad, and that inspite of such registration of the crime a long time back, no investigation has been done so far and that there was no progress in the investigation despite lapse of about four (04) months.

I have heard the submissions of Sri C.Ram Prasad, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, and of the learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5. I have perused the material record. 3.

At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that if a direction is given to the 5th respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report, the grievance of the writ petitioners would be redressed.

Learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, on instructions, would submit that the police will follow the procedure and complete the investigation within a reasonable time and file a final report.

Having regard to the submissions, the Writ Petition is MSRM, J W.P.No.8863 of 2018 disposed of directing the 5th respondent to complete the investigation in the afore-stated crime, as expeditiously as possible, however, by following the procedure established by law, and file a final report. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order.
