This writ petition is filed alleging inaction of the District Collector, on the representation filed by the petitioner on 30.01.2017, seeking permission to cut the trees grown on the land assigned to him.

Having noticed that the District Collector is not competent and that the application is not made in the prescribed format, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition and to pursue appropriate remedies as available in law.

Granting the said liberty, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
