Kota Satyanarayana v. State Of Andhra Pradesh
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.8695 of 2018 ORDER:
The only ground urged by the petitioner, in the present Writ Petition, is that, without giving any notice to the petitioner herein, the Panchayat Secretary effected change of name in the Property Tax Register.
At the hearing, it is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent-Parchur Gramapanchayat that, in fact a notice was issued on 05.07.2017 and, in support thereof, he has placed on record the postal receipts also. In view of the above, the said contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner cannot be sustained. However, it is open for the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal available under the A.P.Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and if any such appeal is filed, the same be considered and appropriate action be taken strictly as per law.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the Writ Petition, shall stand closed. __________________ A.V.SESHA SAI,J 06th April, 2018 Tsy
