ORAL ORDER:
DKT pattas granted to petitioners in the year 2005 was challenged by the unofficial respondents. The Revenue Divisional Officer/4th respondent by order dated 13.11.2011 dismissed the appeal. Aggrieved thereby, unofficial respondents preferred revision before the Joint Collector. By order dated 18.11.2017 the Joint Collector not only rejected revision but also directed cancellation of DKT pattas granted to petitioners and ordered resumption of land. Aggrieved by the said proceedings, petitioners preferred revision to the Chief Commissioner, Land Administration-second respondent, which was acknowledged by the office of the Chief Commissioner, Land Administration on 1.1.2018. Petitioners also filed application to grant interim order, pending disposal of the revision. Alleging inaction in considering the revision, this writ petition is filed.
Heard the learned counsel for petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue and with their consent the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission.
In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Chief Commissioner, Land Administration-second respondent to consider the application filed by the petitioners for interim order as expeditiously as possible, preferable within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Second respondent shall also consider the revision and after affording due opportunity to respective parties dispose of the same in accordance with law. No costs. Having regard to the same, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
