This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ A.1, seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.388 of 2016 on the file of the Visakhapatnam IV Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, registered for the offences under Sections 370A(2) of I.P.C. and Section 3 and 4 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.1, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-State and perused the record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.1 would submit that the offences alleged against the petitioner/ A.1 are punishable with imprisonment extending up to five years. The other accused in this case are already arrested and released on bail. The crime pertains to the year 2016 and ultimately prayed to allow the application.

The allegation against the petitioner/ A.1 is that he is supplying girls for the purpose of prostitution. The learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.1 submits that the petitioner/ A.1 is running a medical shop.

In view of the submissions made by both the learned counsel, the Station House Officer, Visakhapatnam IV Town
- 2 - Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, is directed to follow the procedure laid down under Section 41A of Cr.P.C. and adhere to the guidelines formulated by the Apex Court in Ar n esh Ku m ar Vs. St at e of Bih ar 1.

With the above direction, this Criminal Petition is disposed of.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand dismissed.
