This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondents to fix the basic pay of the petitioner at Rs.5,198/- from May, 1999 onwards with all consequential benefits.

Since the writ petitioner retired and expired, the cause in this writ petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
