THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.43285 of 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondent No.3 in calling the husband of the petitioner to the police station and trying to beat him without any complaint or registration of crime as arbitrary and illegal and consequently, to direct the respondent No.3 not to call the husband of the petitioner and not to harass him. Today, when the matter is taken up for admission, the learned Assistant Government Pleader produced a copy of written instructions received from the respondent No.3. In the said copy, it is stated that the husband of the petitioner was neither summoned nor detained in the police station and that he is not wanted in any case. Recording the above instructions, the writ petition is closed as no orders are necessary. No costs.
