Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner Sri G.Vasantharayudu and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for 2nd respondent Sri G.Narender Reddy.

Today, when the matter is taken up, it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of the grievance of the petitioner, petitioner herein submitted a representation dated 15.11.2017 to the 2nd respondent-Gram Panchadyat with a request for change of name and mutation in the Gram Panchayat records by making necessary corrections and entries. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, no orders have been passed on the said representation. A request is made by the learned counsel to direct the 2nd Respondent to verify and pass appropriate orders on the said representation, in accordance with law. On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel for 2nd respondent that if any such application/representation is pending consideration before the 2nd respondent, the same will be verified and appropriate action will be taken as per law.

Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to verify the representation said to have been made by the petitioner on 15.11.2017 and take appropriate action within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the stakeholders. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
