Learned counsel for the petitioner informed this Court that respondent No.2 had retired from service in the year 2007 and ail the benehts were paid to respondent No.2. Therefore, the cause in tl.e writ petition does not survive for adjudication and the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the above submission, the Writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in ttris Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
