This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners challenging the inaction of the respondents in considering their applications dt.06.07.2017 for granting laterite mining lease for land of an extent of Acres 60-00 guntas in survey No.1 of Peddakonda Chintaluru Village, East Godavari District pursuant to the new policy of the Government notified vide G.O.Ms.No.56 Industries & Commerce (M.II) Department, dt.30.04.2016 and Government Memo No.5037/M.II(1)/2016, dt.23.07.2016.

The Government Pleader for Industries appearing for respondents 1, 2 and 4 states that the Mines Department has addressed a letter to the Tahsildar for issuance of No Objection Certificate and as soon as the decision of the Tahsildar is received, appropriate action will be initiated.

Having regard to the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1, 2 and 4 to consider the applications of the petitioners for grant of laterite mining lease within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate their decision to the petitioners. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
