This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.1207 of 2011 on the file of the VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad at Medchal, Ranga Reddy District. Petitioners 1 and 2 are A.2 and A.3 in Crime No.272 of 2011 registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act against the petitioners herein and another.

Learned counsel for the petitioners and respondent No.2 are not present.

Heard learned Public Prosecutor for the State. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that C.C.No.1207 of 2011 on the file of the VI Munsif Magistrate, Medchal has ended in acquittal vide judgment, dated 23.01.2017. A letter, dated 19.12.2017, addressed by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Dundigal Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate has been filed to that effect. In view of the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor that C.C.No.1207 of 2011 has ended in acquittal, the relief for quashing the proceedings in the said case has become infructuous.
