HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 6487 of 2010 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not appointing the petitioner in any suitable post on compassionate grounds due to the demise of her husband on 01.01.2008 while working as Sepoy in C.R.P.F., as illegal and arbitrary. A consequential direction is also sought to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment to any suitable post in the Office of the 4th respondent on compassionate grounds forthwith.

Heard Sri G.V.L. Murthy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondents.

During pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner made a representation dated 28.01.2011 expressing her unwillingness for compassionate appointment and seeking to consider her son for compassionate appointment.

The learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondents has submitted that the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in favour of her son will be considered and appointment orders will be passed.

Recording the submission made by the learned Assistant Solicitor General, the writ petition is disposed of. However, the respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 28.01.2011 within a period of four (4) weeks.
