Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeks Mandamus declaring the action of second respondent in not renewing the petitioner's passport bearing No.K 3629197, which was expired on 03.06.2013, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of principles of natural justice.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Solicitor General for respondent.

Keeping in view the averments made in the instant petition and the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner, I hereby direct the second respondent to take decision on the application filed by the petitioner within four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
