HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CONTEMPT CASE No.174 OF 2017 ORDER:
This contempt case is filed with a prayer to punish the respondent under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for willfully and deliberately flouting order, dated 25.10.2016, passed by this Court in WP No.35919 of 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court passed the above order, directing the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.71 of 2015, as expeditiously as possible, and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, but the respondent is not filed any final report till date and that he is calling the petitioner to the police station continuously in the name of investigation and harassing him.
Learned Government Pleader for Home submitted that the respondent will complete the investigation and file the final report as expeditiously as possible.
Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for both sides, the Contempt Case is closed and the respondent is directed not to call the petitioner to the police station till filing of the charge sheet, except by way of giving notice to the petitioner for his appearance. Miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
