Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader.

Petitioner claims that he is the owner and is in possession and enjoyment of land to an extent of Ac.5-63 cents in Survey No.460/1 of Murapaka Village, Laveru Mandal, Srikakulam District. Petitioner is aggrieved by inclusion of Ac.2-28 cents of land, out of Ac.5-63 cents, in the list of prohibited properties under Section 22-A (1) (c) of the Registration Act, 1908. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application to the Commissioner, Endowments Department, on 19.02.2018. Alleging inaction on the said application, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.

Since an application is already filed before the Commissioner of Endowments for deletion of the above mentioned property from the list of prohibited properties and as the learned counsel for petitioner states that the said application is pending, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Commissioner of Endowments, A.P. Endowments Department, Gollapudi, Vijayawada, Krishna District (respondent No.2), to examine the claim of the petitioner as ventilated in his application, dated 19.02.2018, to exclude the property described above from the list of prohibited properties, and pass appropriate orders, as warranted by law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt

of a copy of this order. It is needless to observe that if the Commissioner, Endowments Department, does not agree for deletion of the subject land from the list of prohibited properties, it is open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy as available under law.
