THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 9122 OF 2015 O R D E R:

The petitioner, who is working as a Selection Grade Lecturer in Physics in SKVT College, Rajahmundry, seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent, the Commissioner and Director of Collegiate Education, Andhra Pradesh to dispose of the Appeal said to have been preferred by him on 13.11.2014 against the proceedings, dated 29.10.2014 issued by the 4th respondent Correspondent of the College which is still kept pending.

The copy of the Appeal said to have been preferred by the petitioner is placed at page 14 of the writ petition paper book which clearly bears the office stamp of the 2nd respondent's inward section. Further, the College Principal has also forwarded the copy of the said Appeal to the 2nd respondent. The college management, by its proceedings, dated 29.10.2014, has imposed the punishment of censure on the petitioner and against the said punishment, the Appeal was preferred on 13.11.2014.

It is therefore, only appropriate that the 2nd respondent Commissioner and Director of Collegiate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh shall deal with the Appeal preferred by the petitioner on merits as expeditiously as is possible, preferably within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, as nearly five months' time has already elapsed from the date the Appeal is said to have been preferred and further, any Appeal against the order of punishment is expected to be disposed of in six months' time. Hence, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage after hearing the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Higher Education (Andhra Pradesh). No costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall also stand disposed of. ----------------------------------------- NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO, J 2nd April 2015
