THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.9025 of 2018 ORDER:
This writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations, dated 15.12.2017 and 09.01.2018, forwarded to the respondents herein, after duly taking into consideration the specific report of the Prisons Department submitted in response to Government Memo No. 200(P)/Ser.III/A2/2018, Home (Services-III) Department, dated 20.01.2018, and pass appropriate orders.

At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that if a direction sought for is given, the ends of justice would be met. 3.
Submissions of the learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana) representing respondents 3 to 6 are heard. 4.
Ms. Anjali Agarwal, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government representing the 2nd respondent, on oral instructions, submits that the Ministry vide letter, dated 18.04.2018, made enquiries with the Government of Telangana about the status of the representations and that the Government of Telangana, Home Department, informed that the representations referred to in the writ petition are being forwarded to the Ministry for examination vide letter, dated 19.04.2018, and that the said representations are yet to be received by the Ministry and that the matter would be processed as
and when the representations are received in the office of the Ministry.

Having stated so, learned counsel for the 2nd respondent placed on record a copy of the letter, dated 23.04.2018, of the Joint Secretary (Judicial), Ministry of Home Affairs, addressed to the learned counsel along with the copy of the letter, dated 19.04.2018, addressed by the Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department, Telangana Secretariat, to the Joint Secretary (Judicial Cell-II), Ministry of Home Affairs (CS Division), New Delhi.

In that view of the matter and as the representations of the petitioners are receiving attention, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the writ petition may be disposed of. 7.
Recording the above submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to do the needful in the matter within six months from the date of receipt of the material forwarded to the Ministry by the Government of Telangana, Home Department. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
