ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in any suitable post, as arbitrary and illegal.
The father of the petitioner viz., K.Rajaram, while working in the respondent-Company as Floating Badli Filler, met with an accident on 22.2.1989 and died due to roof collapse in the mine. The mother of the petitioner died as early as on 25.06.1988. By the time of demise of his father, the petitioner was a minor. After becoming major, he made several representations to the respondentcompany seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. But, so far no orders have been passed by the respondents.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that as per the scheme evolved by the respondent-Company, after death of his father, who died in harness, the petitioner is entitled for appointment on compassionate grounds. He further
submits that the petitioner made several representations, the latest one being dated 15.3.2015 and the same is not yet disposed of. In view of the above circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.3.2015 whereunder he sought appointment on compassionate grounds under the scheme evolved by the respondent-Company and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
