The grievance of the petitioners is that the revenue authorities are not taking action upon their representation dated 02.6.2018 and legal notice dated 09.01.2018. By way of these communications, the petitioners asked for removal of the names that have been entered in the revenue records in relation to the land claimed by them and for recognition of their rights in respect thereof. The Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 (for brevity 'the Act of 1971'), provides a hierarchy of remedies in relation to any grievance arising out of entries in the revenue records. Mere submission of a representation or a legal notice would not be sufficient for upsetting the entries already made in the revenue records. That being so, the petitioners cannot complain of inaction on the part of the authorities upon their representation / legal notice.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioners to invoke appropriate legal remedies available to them in accordance with law before the proper forum.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall also dismissed. No order as to costs.
