THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION NO.285 of 2014 ORDER: (per Hon'ble The Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) Nothing has been shown in the body of this petition that under what provision of law the Collector is to take steps against NGO to whom animals were handed over for taking care, in the event such NGO does not take proper care. In the absence of such legal provision, we think that there is no foundation in filing of this petition.

In that view of the matter, we dismiss the public interest litigation. However, liberty is given to file a fresh disclosing legal provision, if any. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
