HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE CHILLAKUR SUMALATHA AND HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE M.G. PRIYADARSINI JUDGMENT: (Per Hon'ble Dr. Justice Chillakur Sumalatha) Heard Sri K. Subba Rao, learned counsel for the appellant as well as Sri J. Kanakaiah, learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 4.

Challenge in this appeal is the award passed by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Sangareddy, in M.V.O.P.No.637 of 2012 dated 01.10.2013.

Making his submission, learned counsel for the appellant states that basing on the quantum of compensation awarded, the present appeal is preferred. Learned counsel for the appellant also states that considering the settled proposition of law, regarding payment of compensation to the dependents of the person who died in a road accident, necessary orders may be passed.

A perusal of the Judgment which is under challenge goes to show that the learned Judge on well consideration about the income of the deceased and the applicability of law as laid down in Sarla Verma and others vs. Delhi Transport Corporation and another 1case awarded compensation of Rs.30,00,000/- which was claimed by the claimants.

As rightly contended by the learned counsel for the claimants, in case the future prospects and the amount that has to be awarded under conventional heads is added, the amount awarded as compensation by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, cannot be held as unjustifiable. Therefore, we are of the considered view that there are no grounds to interfere with the observations made by the learned Judge of the Tribunal and the award of compensation of Rs.30,00,000/-.

Therefore, the appeal is devoid of merits and hence, the same is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
