This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the third respondent in considering the representation of the petitioners dated 27.8.2016, as illegal and arbitrary. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development and learned Standing Counsel for Gram Panchayats. 3.

The fourth respondent had conducted auction, on 30.1.2016 for fishing rights in respect of Maddilaiah Tank, B.Ramapuram Tank and Vellireddy Tank of Puthalapattu Mandal. The petitioners have become highest bidders and fourth respondent granted fishing rights in favour of the petitioners with effect from 01.2.2016 to 30.9.2016. It is the case of the petitioners that due to untimely rains, they could not catch the fish thereby they incurred huge losses. It is their further case that respondent Nos.3 and 4 have inspected the tanks and submitted report to the second respondent. The petitioners submitted a representation dated 27.8.2016 to the second respondent with a request to extend the lease period as they incurred huge losses. For one reason or the other, the second respondent has not disposed of the representation of the petitioners dated 27.8.2016. 4.

At the time of the arguments, the only relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioners is to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner in the light of the report submitted by the respondent Nos.3 and 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and also the submissions made by learned counsel for both the parties, the second respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 27.8.2016, in the light of the report submitted by respondent Nos.3 and 4, as expeditiously as possible.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
